Not much beats crab legs and these wood-fired legs are smokin'. Fresh crab legs are doused in an herb garlic butter, grilled and served with fresh lemons for the ultimate take on this seafood favorite.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs KING CRAB LEGS OR DUNGENESS GRAB LEG CLUSTERS
  • 12 tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp Fresh herbs, finely chopped (parsley, chives, tarragon)
  • 3 Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 3 lemons, cut into wedges for serving
  • 4 lbs KING CRAB LEGS OR DUNGENESS GRAB LEG CLUSTERS
  • 12 tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp Fresh herbs, finely chopped (parsley, chives, tarragon)
  • 3 Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 3 lemons, cut into wedges for serving

Preparation

When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke with the lid open until the fire is established (4 to 5 minutes). Set the temperature to 375 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.

Place the butter, garlic, herbs, and a pinch of salt into a small cast iron sauce pan. Place on grill for 5 minutes to melt. Remove from grill and stir.

If using king crab legs, split down the center and pour herb butter over meat reserving a quarter for serving. If using crab clusters, toss clusters with herb butter in a large mixing bowl reserving a quarter for serving.

Place crab legs directly on the grill grate, meat side up. Grill for 5 to 10 minutes or until hot and beginning to develop a little char on the shell.

Serve crab legs with lemon wedges and reserved herb butter. Enjoy!
